Ntamack drops major transfer hint

Despite signing a huge new contract with Toulouse, French maverick Romain Ntamack has given away a clue into what his future holds.

The fly half's immediate future is secured. His new contract keeps him at French giants Toulouse until 2028, which will be ten years since he made his debut for the club.

Since his first appearance in 2018 he has grown into one of the best No.10s in the world and a mainstay in the French side which are one of the favourites heading into their home World Cup.

Despite his contract extension, in an interview with French media, Ntamack has expressed interest in moving abroad after the World Cup next year. If this does happen, it is likely that he will follow in the footsteps of players such as Beauden Barrett who spent a year in Japan before returning to New Zealand.

Even if only for a one season loan, clubs around the world will be queuing up for the French playmaker's services.

When asked about the possibility of moving clubs, Ntamack said "We talked about it a bit for a little experience after the World Cup."

"If it's not feasible, I will stay in Toulouse, but if there is an opportunity to try a overseas experience, perhaps".

Alongside Romain, Toulouse have also signed his younger brother Theo to a contract extension until 2025.
