On his jones: Eddie Jones to be sacked by England rugby

In spectacular news this evening it is being reported that Eddie Jones will be ending his time with England just Nine months away from the World Cup.

Jones has maintained for a long time now that he has a plan in place for the England side to take next years World Cup by storm. The series win against Australia gave the English reason to be hopeful, as they saw a mix of youth and experience take on the Wallabies in convincing style for the majority of the series.

This being said, there has been a storm brewing, but not of a climactic finish at next years World Cup. The storm has been on home soil, with England winning just one of their four home matches this Autumn against an underperforming Japanese side.

Jones as a result has come under huge fire from critics and fans, and now due to this pressure his time with England appears to be over, following an Autumn Nations Series review by the RFU.

Reports from the Sydney Morning Herald, suggest that Jones will be fired by the RFU imminently.

Leicester Tigers boss, Steve Borthwick, is the favourite to take over, despite huge competition from the likes of six-time title-winning Crusanders coach, Scott Robertson, vying for the position.

This news comes after Gatland was confirmed to be taking over from the recently sacked Wayne Pivac at the helm of Welsh rugby.
