Owen Farrell Delivers Heartfelt Speech Post 100th Test Cap

England captain Owen Farrell played in his 100th test this past weekend as his England team rallied from 25 – 3 down to earn a remarkable 25 – 25 draw.

Now firmly rooted as an English legend Farrell is uncharted territory alongside his long-time halfback partner Ben Youngs as the two-look set to be far and away the two most capped English players of all time.

Currently Youngs tops the list at a whopping 120 Test caps followed by a legend of yesteryear in Jason Leonard who amassed a substantial 114 caps.

Whilst both men have been under pressure in terms of keeping their places in the English line-up with the emergence of young stars such as Jack van Poortvliet and Marcus Smith. Despite this pressure there is no doubt that both men remain firmly in Eddie Jones’s plans for next year’s World Cup.

Farrell in particular who is remarkably still only 31-years-old looks set to have several more seasons in the white shirt should he choose to remain eligible.

Following his 100th cap, Farrell once again showed just why he is so revered by his teammates and coaches as he delivered a simply brilliant speech.

Well done to an English legend who will undoubtedly go down as one of the very best to ever play the game.
