Portugal players made huge prediction prior to Fiji match

Portugal finished their incredible World Cup campaign with a victory over Fiji last night in what will go down as one of the greatest upsets since the tournament's induction in 1987.

The scores were locked at 3-3 right up until halftime, in a game that many who weren't glued to their TV sets, would be excused for thinking was a dull stalemate. The reality of which was that the scoreline did not reflect the excitement and quality of the game at all. In fact, the first half displayed some of the most thrilling and attacking open play of the tournament so far. Even the most miserable of pundits were short of a negative word to say about the game.

The second half saw the scoreline open up to match the style of rugby, with both sides putting score upon score beyond the others tryline. Portugal came to be victors in front of an exhilarated crowd, kicking the ball out as their side claimed a 24-23 victory.
