Racing 92 unveil Arundell's contract extension through to 2026

French Top 14 powerhouse Racing 92 today released a video confirming that highly touted England international Henry Arundell will remain in Paris until 2026.

Rumoured to be returning to the English Premiership a fortnight ago, the 21-year-old former London Irish standout opted instead to remain with the Top 14 side.

Reportedly leading the charge for his signature were Bath who in conjunction with the RFU were set to offer the back three-star a hybrid contract.

This would have seen Arundell signed both to the national governing body and the Premiership club in a landmark moment for the English game.

Instead, Arundell will now be ineligible for the 2025 Six Nations due to not playing within the English professional game.

Based on reports in a variety of media outlets, Arundell had a discussion with England head coach Steve Borthwick, who gave the player an ultimatum to return to England or risk missing out on the 2024 Six Nations.

Eligible for the upcoming Six Nations due to extraordinary circumstances (London Irish's closure), Arundell has clearly weighed up what he feels is best for his career by remaining in Paris.

In Paris, Arundell will continue to play in a squad jam-packed with World-class talent such Springbok captain Siya Kolisi, Trevor Nyakane, Juan Imhoff, Gael Fickou and several others.
