Re-live Tongan Thor's HUGE shoulder hit which went totally unpunished

Back in 2018 Queensland Reds tighthead prop Taniela Tupou escaped any punishment for what looked like a blatant shoulder charge against the Stormers in Cape Town.

The Australia international, known as Tongnan Thor, absolutely smashed the Stormers winger following a quick tap penalty on the halfway line.

At the time referee Marius van Der Westhuizen said his TMO had checked the incident and ruled play on, and despite being cited for the incident the panel only branded the 21-year-old with a warning.

The tackle left the Stormers player in considerable pain on the ground and the commentators were shocked that the decision was play on.

Tupou, now 25, made his Australia debut in 2017 and has since earned 25 caps for the Wallabies. The tighthead is best known for his huge hits and powerful ball carrying ability at both club and international level.
