When he's not diving, Richard Hibbard is one of the hardest hitting hookers in world rugby. He won over the Gloucester fans recently with this smashing hit vs Sale, his opposite number, Shalva Mamukashvili. Unfortunately he was ruled to have knocked it on, but it was a great tackle anyway.

Clear and Obvious knock on? No, not for me.

But in fairness to the referee the ball impact was on the far side of the referee, so perhaps the AR quickly called it in, there was a slight delay

"Knock-on in the tackle" is a ludicrous decision to award at any time. So you've dislodged the ball in the process of tackling the bloke - personally I think that should be encouraged. The onus surely is on the ball carrier to keep control of the ball. Aside from that, the contact on the ball from Hibbard was minimal anyway.
