Rugby Toughest Initiation Resurfaces

Rugby initiations are often shrouded in mystery in order to be kept as a club tradition.

Whilst there is certainly mixed feelings on the concept of initiations as a whole based on some rather controversial and at times out of line incidents coming to light.

Currently an initiation that has been described as the most brutal in Rugby history has been doing the rounds online.

It is so bad that current Welsh superstar Louis Rees-Zammit rather unceremoniously announced that it made him s*** himself.

The challenge has come out of Premiership side Gloucester and requires a ridiculously strong stomach and eight pints of milk.

As Rees-Zammit put it, you have twenty minutes to down the eight pints. On paper this does not appear to be an awfully challenging concept, something the winger pointed out.

"I failed it. I was so ugly it was an absolute joke. I was sh****g myself because I knew I was going to fail. I think everyone [initially] thinks they can do it but then they have like two glasses and they realise they can't." Rees-Zammit said.

The interview with Rees-Zammit is from back in 2021 but has resurfaced recently as Glasgow and Scotland’s Ryan Wilson attempted the challenge live on the Rugbypass Offload podcast.

Joining Wilson was Bristol Bears prop Max Lahiff, a man who is renowned for his hysterical post-match interviews.

Both men approached the challenge thinking it would be as Wilson put it “a piece of p***”.

Unfortunately for Wislon he only made it through six pints before emptying his stomach! Lahiff went two better and completed the challenge before joining Wilson in vomiting just after the allocated twenty minutes.
