Rupeni Caucaunibuca's two tries for Agen against Narbonne

Yesterday it was mentioned on the

Rugbydump Facebook page

that Rupeni Caucanibuca had scored two tries against Narbonne on the weekend. The overwhelming response was that of intrigue, so here's the tries for you, as promised.

Agen play in ProD2, the second division in French rugby, and are looking like they'll be promoted to the Top 14 next season as they're currently sitting comfortably on top of the table, especially after this 57-12 win over Narbonne.

They scored eight tries in total, two of which were scored by the man widely regarded as one of the most exciting players to have ever graced a rugby field. While Caucau doesn't quite look the same as many of us remember him, he is still only 29, and has serious ambitions of playing in next years World Cup in New Zealand.

"I wish to represent Fiji at the 2011 Rugby World Cup as well," he said recently.

It would be an incredible achievement if he managed it, considering he's been in the rugby wilderness for a while, with doping bans and disciplinary issues not helping his cause.

"Many things has been said about me. Most of them negative but I would like to right the wrong. First and foremost, I thank the Almighty who can reopen the door that was shut on me.

"Anything is possible through God. I thought this chance was lost forever.

Caucau explained that he wants to use the upcoming Pacific Nations Cup as an opportunity to prove that he's still got what it takes to play rugby at the highest level.

"The passion and interest has always been in me to play for Fiji but something always happens and as usual, I get to be the centre of criticism. I want to prove my critics wrong," he added.
