Got to admit I had a moment years ago when I got the nod from the first team after coming out of the colts... had a bit of a disagreement with a flanker through the game then got the perfect shot and levelled him (legally) was so busy taunting the bloke and peacocking about I missed the chance to steal the sodding ball..
...got reminded that we weren't playing rugby league and that rucks are somewhat important..
...needless to say, hasn't happened again. -

To be totally honest, this is where amateur rugby certainly wins in bucket fulls... chances are if you pulled that shit, someone on the opposition would either clock you or tell you that you had nothing to do with the hit so what are you yelling about, which would no doubt be followed by laughter from everyone in ear shot, opposition and team mates included. -

One thing I hate is when a player acts like Burrell did after making a big hit, but he didn't even make the hit here. He just saw his teammate to do and then started taunting the player. What a knob.

That's a bit naughty by Burrell. Pains me to say it as a Saints fan but Salvi definitely showed them how it's done by dusting himself off and walking away with his dignity, despite getting splattered. Always had lots of respect for him as a player.

Then I guess you're totally oblivious to the vast majority of rugby players suffering from head trauma. This is not to be joked with. Take a look at props. These people are scarred for life: not only are they physically repulsive but mentally they sustained year long IQ-lowering abuse. These people have no other future than checking themselves straight into a retirement home after their professional career. May god have mercy on their demented brains. I'd go further than that, all tackling should be banned. From now on, if you want an opponent to surrender the ball you should ask nicely, possibly submit the request in writing. God forbid anyone should leave the field with muddy shorts or bruises. Thoughts?

What an absolute beauty of a tackle. OK, the bloke didn't see it coming, but you've still got to get there and make the hit. About as well-executed a tackle as you'll see too - chest height, both arms engaged, drove through him, and forced a knock-on.
Quite impressed how quickly Salvi was back on his feet too!
