Scott Barrett Avoids Sanction With Peter O'Mahony Challenge

New Zealand got their three-test series against Ireland underway in a fashion only they could.

In what was a by and large competitive fixture, the All Blacks blitzed Ireland for four tries in the space of fifteen minutes as they reminded the world that when given a sniff, they are utterly lethal.

Having never beaten New Zealand between the years 1905 and 2016, Ireland of late have become somewhat of a rival to the Kiwis with three wins in the last five meetings.

Crucially however the All Blacks still hold the cards at the important times most notably at the World Cup quarterfinal and not in Dublin (or Chicago).

In what was an action-packed fixture there was the usual difficult calls for the match officials.

One incident however has been put under the spotlight in the wake of the fixture. This is of course the cleanout by Scott Barrett on Peter O’Mahony.

The incident is almost certainly going to be a point of contention throughout the upcoming week.

With two tests to go you get the feeling this series is only heating up!
