Kudos to BT Sport for making these clips available on Youtube. I agree with everything you've said.

I found a lot of this stuff pretty useful and generally these clips are instructive. I just love seeing some of the best in the world, and Rhys Priestland, putting their skills on display.

Useful advice from BOD to aim at the kicking leg rather than the player.

If you want to know what he was on about by protecting your face... see RWC 2007 England vs Tonga for reference. Not only does Moody go for the ball, he tries to break the attacker's legs with his face.

This may be bread and butter to 75% of us who have been around for a while, but to the kid who only picked up rugby this year joining secondary school, it is invaluable. Back in 02/03 we were coached to target the player rather than the ball, if he cleared his lines there would never be a shoulder too far away. Penalties every game, and no chargedowns... I don't know if it is the changing game, greater knowledge from coaches nowadays, or access to videos like this, but it makes more sense seeing these fellas do it rather than in a training drill with 4 others who don't know what they are doing either!!!!

Fascinating... Pack moves ball up, 9 passes, 10 kicks, defense attempts to block. Who woulda thought?

No no no, you're thinking of Martin Bayfield.

That was not Priestland, that was Leigh Halfpenny.

All I can remember as a Welsh fan is Priestland missing that crucial drop-goal in front of the posts in the last WC semi-final vs France...
