Shocking drop has crowd laughing in Mitre 10 Cup

Taranaki scrum half Te Toiroa Tahuriorangi butchered a certain try against Otago on Sunday in the Mitre 10 Cup.

The 24-year-old Kiwi looked certain to finish off what would have been a wonderful counter attack try but simply took his eyes off the ball at the critical moment.

The move was started by former All Blacks winger Waisake Naholo and would have been arguably the try of the match had it not been for the young scrum half.

The game finished 35-27 to Otago to retain the Ranfurly Shield in Dunedin and full match highlights are available below:
