Esposito's tackle is number one for me. Great timing, great technique, stops the attack dead and wins a lineout for his side, what more to ask! BOD, and ireland in fact, indeed had the best at the end of the day by winning big time

Huget was clearly a penalty try no attempt at arms as he had his back turned -
A player must not charge or knock down an opponent carrying the ball without trying to grasp that player.
Good NFL tackle though

To be honest RD, I think this highlights reel was put together with a view of highlighting some wonderful play... Tsrb's; for me, has traditionally been about smashing the ****'s out of each other, with a few constructive tackles here and there (the ts in tsrb!!)

Kind of sick of seeing every compilation of big hits and tackles full of illegal tackles and crap technique. It's not hard to make a bit hit when you dive head-first into someone like Halfpenney, use your head to trip someone up like Huget or if you just smash someone with your shoulder like Scott Williams and make no attempt to legally tackle. Ashley Johnson recently tackled Dave Kearney in the air, which was a HUGE hit, but it wouldn't and shouldn't make it into a compilation of good hits, and neither should these examples.
Bastareaud's is a demonstration of enormous power and Esposito and Trimble's are demonstrations of excellent technique. They should be 1, 2 and 3. -

Pretty sure in 1, 2 and 5, the tackler (or shoulder charger in the case of 5) left the field injured. Bodies on the line stuff.
