South Africa name side without Cheslin Kolbe and other stars ahead of England match

With the England Vs South Africa match on Saturday taking place outside of the test window, the South African stars playing their trade in Europe have had to return to their club sides. This will mean that the likes of Cheslin Kolbe and other stars will miss out on the upcoming test.

The last time the two sides faced each other was in November 2021, as England gained revenge for their World Cup Final loss, with a 27-26 win over the Springboks. It was a gritty performance from the young England side, as the likes of Marcus Smith and Freddie Steward really started to nail down their starting places.

This time around the England squad is likely to be a much more settled one, with the younger players having now become regulars in the side. The question for many English fans will be whether England are likely to play as they did in the first 60 minutes of the New Zealand game last weekend, or if they will turn it on as they did in the last 20 minutes.

For the Springboks, they come off the back of a hammering over Italy which will have given them great confidence after narrowly losing out to in-form side France the week before.

South Africa: Le Roux; Arendse, Kriel, De Allende, Mapimpi; Willemse, De Klerk; Nche, Mbonambi, Malherbe, Etzebeth, Orie, Kolisi (c), Mostert, Roos.

Replacements: Marx, Kitshoff, Du Toit, Van Staden, Smith, Hendrikse, Libbok, Moodie
