WATCH: Springbok fans get into major scrap in the stands

Reigning World Champions South Africa got their 2023 Rugby Championship campaign off to a cracking start by thumping the Wallabies 43 – 12 at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria.

Labelled as a ‘B’ squad during the week, the Boks looked anything but as they physically dominated the Wallabies.

Leading the charge was winger Kurt-Lee Arendse who scored a hattrick to put immense pressure on the regular Bok wingers heading into the World Cup.

Two penalty would also be awarded in a true reflection of South Africa’s physical dominance. The second second penalty try was a deliberate knock-on which in all likelihood robbed Arendse of a fourth try.

Whilst the action on the pitch was brutally physically, it turns out the real action was taking place in the stands.

High up in the stands it was gloves off as several fans got stuck into each as fist flew.

Whilst many praised UFC fighter Dricus Du Plessis for defeating legendary Australian fighter Robert Whittaker at UFC 290. It would appear as though he might face challenges at home to be crowned the top martial artist in the republic!
