Super 14 Pick of the Week - Round 13

As we head into the final round of the Super 14, this weekend is vital in that the Bulls are the only side assured of a play-off place. Heres a look back at the best tries scored in an incredible round last weekend though, with fifteen included in total.

The race for the semis was well and truly on last weekend, as sides within touching distance made it imperative to get maximum points, resulting in some great running rugby as they searched for those all important bonus points.

The Reds second half against the Hurricanes was much like the second half of their season disappointing. They still managed to scored a few great tries though, namely through Anthony Faainga and Rod Davies. The Canes themselves dished up their usual brand, as Hosea Gear crossed more than once as he looks to be the form wing in New Zealand at the moment.

We all saw, and talked about, the classic match between the Crusaders and the Bulls in Pretoria. Perhaps the controversial ending unfortunately overshadowed what was an incredible display of attacking rugby from both sides. The pick of the tries from that game are included here as theyre well worth watching again.

For the Chiefs, last years finalists who this season havent found their form, Jackson Willison got on the end of a brilliant try that was made by some slick passing down the line. Drew Mitchell pulled off a great individual try for the Waratahs, and seasoned campaigner Carlos Spencer got on the end of a nice counterattack for the Lions.

Thats just a few of the excellent tries that were scored in a fantastic weekend of action. This weekend is set to be a tense final round, as each match has its own set of permutations that will determine who makes the top four and who doesnt.

For now though, kick back and watch fifteen of the best tries scored in Round 13. Enjoy.
