Tallest Winger in World Rugby History!

The game of Rugby is known to suit men and women of all shapes and sizes; the big, the small, and everything in between. Recent times have shown smaller players like Cheslin Kolbe and Antoine Dupont taking on men almost twice their size with big tackles and hard running lines.

On the other side of the coin however, you will find huge units like Nemani Nadolo and the late great Jonah Lomu simply running over players with their huge mass. When it comes to wingers, height has its advantages, particularly when under those ever increasing kick passes.

A player who will be looking to take advantage of such a play would be 6'9 winger Shawn Clark, who plays his trade for Dallas Jackals' in Major League Rugby.

As you can see from the above footage, Clark is literally able to hurdle over opposition players, causing chaos in the opposition defence. Almost reaching 7 feet tall, this makes him the tallest ever winger in world rugby!

Rugby in America has taken a massive step forward over the past few years, with trademark signings moving across from all over the globe. The rise of the supersized winger could very well become an export of their own.
