Tasman score lovely 80-metre try to maintain Mitre 10 Cup form

Tasman scored a beautiful try against Manawatu in round three of the Mitre 10 Cup stemming from chip and chase.

Fly half Mitchell Hunt got the ball on the Tasman 22-metre line and chipped the ball over the Manawatu defence for full back William Jordan to gather and charge down field.

Jordan beat the first defender before making a successful offload back to Hunt, who shifted the ball wide for winger Jamie Spowart to finish in the corner.

This was Tasman’s fifth try of the first half as they crushed Manawatu 64 - 3 at Landsowne Park, Blenheim to retain their top spot in the competition.
