The inspirational story of Charlie Pattison

It's a long weekend for many as time is spent with family and celebrations take place around the world. I figured it wouldn't hurt to throw in an inspirational clip today, as we highlight the story of a young man who's had to face different obstacles to most.

Charlie Pattison was born without a right hand, meaning that he had to adapt to life a little differently. As with all kids though, if they know no different, it's not an issue and one adapts.

The incredible thing about Charlie is that he's never let his disability hold him back. He in fact has always played sports, and now plays competitive rugby, mixing it up with the best of them for his club Harpendon RFC in London's division two.

As you'll see in the clip, Charlie not only plays, but is one of their best players and despite having huge challenges ahead of him, aspires to progress further in the game.

While he's never known any different, the fact is that he gets out there and plays with such a disadvantage, when others in his position would possibly not consider giving it a go. That alone should be an inspiration for us all.

Performing well and being a valued asset to the side, well that's just fantastic.
