The time Martin Johnson took a right hook to the face without even flinching

Back in 1994 former England and Bath prop Victor Ubogu punched Leicester’s Martin Johnson in the face during the Pilkington Cup final at Twickenham.

While it’s unclear what caused Ubogu’s sudden rage, Johnson appeared to be helping the Bath prop to his feet when he was punched.

Johnson didn’t react at all to the incident, further adding to his persona as one of rugby’s hard men and while Ubogu wasn’t sent off for the incident, Leicester were awarded a penalty.

Bath went on to win the game 21-9 and Ubogu earned 24 caps throughout his international career in the front row.
