The time Sivivatu dominated an All Blacks trial ahead of 2005 B&I Lions tour

Back in 2005 Sitiveni Sivivatu broke into the All Blacks squad after lighting up a trial match between the All Blacks Possibles and the All Blacks Probables in Napier.

The then 23-year-old winger scored a brace of tries and almost secured a hat trick for the Probables in what was a scintillating performance by the young man.

From there Sivivatu burst onto the international scene with three Test match starts against the British & Irish Lions and went on to earn 46 caps for the All Blacks in total, scoring 29 tries in the process.

After making the move to France in 2011 Sivivatu never represented the All Blacks again and retired in 2016, taking on the role of technical adviser at Castres.
