Back in 2013 Toby Flood produced one of the most embarrassing moments of his career during a Heineken Cup pool game against Ospreys.
The Welsh side were pinned on their own try line at Liberty Stadium when they spilt the ball in a dangerous area, providing a half chance for Flood to steal an easy try.
The Leicester fly half had both eyes firmly on the ball as he sprinted towards the try line. However in doing so, Flood lost sight of the posts and went full speed into the right-hand protector.
The former England playmaker stopped dead in his tracks and was left lying on the turf, clutching his shoulder in agony.
Despite being in considerable pain Flood got back to his feet and continued playing, but in the end the game finished 15-15 which kicked Ospreys out of the competition and set up a winner-takes-all clash between Leicester and Toulouse.
Leicester boss Richard Cockerill said: “It was a tough game, Ospreys played very well. We made far too many errors and we hurt ourselves but we stuck in there as Leicester teams do. In the end we deserved a draw.
"We got ourselves in the lead with a few minutes to go and we couldn't close it out for once, which was disappointing.
"Whatever happened today we had to win next week. This is where we wanted to be at the start of what has been a very tough pool - every game we've played has been very difficult.
"Three o'clock next Sunday we're bringing the most successful side in European history to a sold-out Welford Road. It's winner takes all - that's where you want to be.”
Flood, now 36, still plays for Newcastle Falcons and he earned 60 caps for England over an eight-year period.
