Toni Pulu beats half the Taranaki team for sensational individual try

Former Chiefs winger Toni Pulu scored this sensational solo try when Counties took on Taranaki in Mitre 10 Cup action on Wednesday. Pulu bounced one man then scythed through another six for a highly impressive score late in the game.

Unfortunately for Counties, his great work was undone when Taranaki hit back directly from the restart, leading to their 26-19 New Zealand provincial championship round two win.

The 29-year-old flyer has done some incredible things on the rugby field over the years, and recently signed a two year deal with the Brumbies for Super Rugby.

While perhaps some questions can be asked of the defence, individual moments of brilliance should receive all the plaudits they deserve, and this was one such moment. Just count the players he skinned.

There was also an amusing celebration from his left wing, who clearly appreciated the conditions.
