Toulon go top with good win over Perpignan

Toulon went ahead of Perpignan at the top of the Top 14 standings this weekend after they beat them 33-23 in an intense match at the jam-packed Stade Veledrome in Marseille.

Flyhalf Jonny Wilkinson was instrumental in the win as he kicked 23 points, including two drop goals, five penalties, and a conversion. One of his drops was from about 50 meters out, and is included in the clip as part of his interview.

Luke Rooney scored twice in the first half with both Joe Van Niekerk and Sonny Bill Williams providing the impressive assists that set him up to canter over. Williams himself has had interest shown in him from New Zealand, who will likely attempt to lure him back before the 2011 World Cup.

Perpignan scored a great try of their own, with Farid Sid going over after some excellent handling from the backs. It wasnt enough though as Wilkinson punished them in the second half and the champion Catalan side went home with nothing.

This clip features most of the tries in the match, and includes a French interview with the battered looking Wilkinson, who took a few big knocks from Gavin Hume.
