Unbelievable new kids zone honours the late James Small's vision

In memory of the late James Small, Durban's Kings Park stadium - the home of the Sharks - recently opened their aptly named Small Zone. It is the brainchild of the Sharks and Springboks legend, who passed away suddenly last year at the age of 50.

The impressive project features a swimming pool behind the dead ball line, slides for the kids and a fully-equipped playroom, all a concept that Small had discussed with Sharks CEO Ed Coetzee. The winger believed that families and children should enjoy rugby together.

Unfortunately, the project never went ahead for Small to see it, but Coetzee, wanted to honour James’ memory and fulfil his vision, so he commissioned the creation of the unique family-friendly area.

The Small Zone will include a variety of family and kid-friendly activities including:

• Pool and slides

• A Gaming Room

• A creche (for kids under the age of 6)

• A coffee shop

• Inflatable rides

• Sand Pit
