USA botch try as Luke Morgan makes big tackle over try line

This comical moment at the London 7s last weekend stands out in memory as it's not the first time we've seen a player get shown up over the tryline. This time it was the USA's Martin Iosefo who bombed a try as Wales' Luke Morgan chased back admirably, then hit him hard, dislodging the ball.

To add to the amusement, Wales then threw a forward pass right in front of the referee.

The USA went on to make the semi finals but lost to Canada in the bronze medal match.

*Correction - wasn't over the tryline. Great chase nonetheless.

In a twist later that day, Kenya helps advance USA to the cup round by beating Wales, in part by a try-saving tackle over the tryline (4m30s into this video): https://youtu.be/OArLa5rayvc

Never a dull moment in 7s.

Ah, the old blind spot chase-down. Shades of Deon Kayser on Robbie Fleck here.
