The latest round of the Top 14 produced some sensational tries yet again in perhaps one of the best weekends of the season so far.
Table toppers Clermont Auvergne condemned struggling Toulon to their fourth defeat of the year at the Marcel Michelin, with a typically efficient performance. Frank Azéma's side have certainly bounced back from a shocking 2017/18 season in style, with fly-half Camille Lopez well and truly pulling the strings.
Lopez, who is back to full fitness following a horrific ankle break last season, scored one try of his own, after a superb break and dummy from hooker John Ulugia, and set up another for Rémy Grosso as the home side dominated 28-8.

Elsewhere, Romain Lonca scored a fantastic try for Bordeaux in their win over La Rochelle, which was set up by an inventive set-piece move from a line-out. Scrum-half Baptiste Serin, seemingly back to the sort of form which saw him as first choice for France a few years back, made a lovely break through the defence before offloading to Lonca.
Good hands were a key factor in Charlie Ngatai crossing for Lyon in their 34-6 thumping of newly-promoted Grenoble. Full back Jean Marcelin-Buttin and Noa Nakaitaci combined perfectly down the blindside to splinter the defence, before feeding New Zealander Ngatai who sped under the posts.
There were also great efforts from South African centre Jan Serfontein and Stade Français' Kylan Hamdaoui, the latter beating four defenders in his side's defeat at home to Racing 92.
