WATCH: AMAZING comeback in Super Rugby Pacific clash between Crusaders and Chiefs

This was an unreal finish to a Super Rugby clash.

The game ended in an amazing comeback win in a clash between the Crusaders and the Chiefs last Saturday.

Coming into the game, the Crusaders had played three games and won 3, whereas the Chiefs had played two and won one. Both sides will be relatively pleased how they have started their 2022 campaign of Super Rugby Pacific.

The points started off from a penalty goal from Richie Mo’unga for the Crusaders but it was the Chiefs who scored the first try of the game. Moving the ball wide, full back, Emoni Narawa got on the outside and threw a ridiculous offload back inside for winger, Shaun Stevenson to score.

The Crusaders registered their first try after 18 minutes of play. Richie Mou’unga put a grubber kick up towards the Chiefs tryline, which wasn’t gathered cleanly, and all David Havili had to do was pick the ball up and dot it down.

Most of the drama however was left until the final 5 minutes of play. The Crusaders had gotten themselves a comfortable 21-10 lead and they would have hoped to just seal out the game. However, the Chiefs had other plans. Shaun Stevenson bagged his second try of the game with 4 and a half minutes left to play. Excellent handling between backs and forwards, allowed the Chiefs to move the ball wide and Stevenson secured the try with a spectacular finish. The conversion was nailed from the touchline by outhalf Bryn Gatland.

Then with the clock in the red. 81 minutes and 22 seconds played, the Chiefs go over in the same corner again to steal the win. The conversion was made and the Chiefs won away to giants, the Crusaders 24-21. That was an amazing comeback.
