WATCH: Blair Kinghorn plays Football to set up try for Edinburgh

Blair Kinghorn tried his hand at playing football for Edinburgh at the weekend.

Edinburgh took on the Sharks in their first game of their South Africa away trip in the URC. The visitors came out 21-5 winners in Durban, in a game that was played in extremely wet conditions. Edinburgh’s win was the first win by a Northern Hemisphere side against South African competition, in South Africa.

Blair Kinghorn’s second try of the game in the 68th minute, sealed the win for Edinburgh in the end. Off a line-out just inside their own half, Edinburgh secured possession and set up a maul. Once the maul was halted scrum half Ben Vellacott put a grubber kick behind the Sharks defensive line. Kinghorn, who often plays as a winger, backed his pace and capitalised when two sharks players failed to secure the ball on the ground off the kick. Kinghorn, as if he was playing in the Premier League, kicked the ball ahead of himself along the ground on 3 occasions before diving on the ball in the in-goal for the score.

Kinghorn came away with Player of the Match as he secured 2 tries alongside fellow teammate and Argentina international Emilliano Bofelli.
