WATCH: Closer look at Barrett offload which wowed fans in Rugby Championship masterclass

All Blacks star Beauden Barrett produced one of the greatest offloads you're likely to see this year during Sunday's Rugby Championship clash against Argentina.

The 30-year-old took the ball at first receiver early in the second half and made a half break through the middle of the pitch before getting his arms free to make a ridiculous offload off his right hand to assist number eight Luke Jacobson for a try.

The pass travelled perfectly flat across 10 metres straight into the back-rower's arms to set up a wonderful try and help secure a comfortable 39-0 win at Eden Park. Full match highlights are available below:

Barrett is regarded as one of the game's greatest utility backs and has represented New Zealand 95 times since making his debut in 2012 and has been voted World Rugby Player of the Year two times.

The illusive playmaker only scored seven points in total against Los Pumas with his brother Jordie taking on the kicking duties from distance but this latest win maintains New Zealand's 100% start to The Rugby Championship after three rounds.

“We can be incredibly proud of that performance,” said stand-out All Blacks captain Brodie Retallick after leading the team for the first time. “To keep them at zero, defensively, we really had to break them down. We found a lot of space with the Wallabies the last few weeks but we had to wear the Pumas down with our set piece and with our carries. So we can be proud of that effort.”

Barrett is currently 24th in the all-time top points scorers in Test match history and is likely to surpass the 800 point barrier by the end of his career which would leave him among the greats.

The rapid playmaker has also notched up an impressive 125 appearances for the Hurricanes despite taking a sabbatical in 2020 to play for the Suntory Sungoliath in the Japanese Top League.
