Waikato right winger Declan O'Donnell scored a freak try against Counties Manukau in round three of the Mitre 10 Cup.
O'Donnell chased after a kick on the right wing and as he was taken to ground by the opposition winger, the ball bounced off his shoulder, onto the corner flag and stopped over the try line.
The 28-year-old was first to react to the bizarre situation and simply fell on the ball to score the opening points of the game.
Waikato went on to win the game 26-31 in Pukekohe, New Zealand and full match highlights are available below:
