WATCH: Every angle of Stuart Hogg's naughty trip during Exeter win

Exeter and Scotland star Stuart Hogg got away with a cheeky piece of foul play against Bath on Friday night.

The full back collided with his opposite number Tom de Glanville as he chased back towards his own try line and while the referee waved play on, replays suggested that Hogg deliberately impeded the Bath full back.

Had referee Matt Carley picked up on the incident and called foul play, Hogg almost certainly would have been sent to the sin bin as de Glanville was in a clear foot race with Chiefs fly-half Joe Simmonds.

Bath fans at The Rec booed in unison while director of rugby Stuart Hooper looked on in astonishment that Hogg had got away with the trip.

“He’s definitely tripped up by Hogg,” said commentator Austin Healey. “And if he is (caught) then it’s a yellow card all day long.

“He nudges him with the shoulder, no you can’t do that so that is a yellow… He has got away with it.”

Hogg, 29, has earned 88 caps for Scotland and recently became the country’s all time top try scorer during the Autumn Nations Series.
