Leigh Halfpenny delivers the kind of try saving tackle we all wish we could pull off

Toulon defeated Scarlets 11-6 over the weekend, breaking Welsh hearts and knocking them from Challenge Cup contention. However, it was the play of Leigh Halfpenny that left fans buzzing, particularly this textbook chase-down tackle of Toulon full-back Daniel Ikepfan.

Halfpenny dashed across the field and wrapped around his opposing number's legs, thereby spoiling what was a certain try for Ikepfan and Toulon.

Halfpenny has certainly never been shy in putting his body on the line. This is one of the reasons some have labelled him the world's premiere defender at the full-back position.

Unfortunately, tackles like this have gotten him into trouble a few times before and his list of head injuries is also quite extensive.

That list may grow yet again as he was forced from this encounter due to HIA protocols.

Brilliant tackle.  And he managed to do it without concussing himself.  Only took him about a dozen years of international rugby to finally learn that bit.
