There was a funny situation in the Bath vs Ulster Heineken Champions Cup round 1 game this past weekend, as referee Marius Mitrea somehow lost the use of his whistle, resulting in comical scenes.
He attempted to stop play on more than one occasion, but as the players were always taught to 'play to the whistle', the game continued, despite his efforts in vain!
Ulster went on to win 17-16, as Jacob Stockdale proved hero with a try-saving interception in the corner.
