WATCH: Incredible Hurricanes comeback steals game late in thirller

An incredible comeback from the Hurricanes steals it at the death against the Blues in round two of Super Rugby Pacific. The Hurricanes did not manage to take the lead in this match until the 79th minute. A length of the field try finished off superbly by Ardie Savea cemented the Hurricanes victory.

With the match at 32-14 at the 70-minute mark it looked like the Blues had this game in the bag. However, the Hurricanes brought on some young guns in Reuben Love, Devan Flanders and Peter Umaga Jensen for the last 20 minutes that helped change the flow of the game.

Three quick tries in the last 10 minutes including an absolute blinder at the 79th minute mark ensured the Hurricanes took their first victory of the 2022 Super Rugby Season.

The Blues will no doubt be disappointed in how this game ended after dominating for majority of the game. Roger Tuivasa-Sheck looked strong on his debut. Some dominant carries and great offloads in the first half proved he has taken well to Rugby Union.

Unfortunately for Tuivasa-Sheck, their team has started the season with a loss. With Beauden Barrett not playing in this game, his presence will be very welcome in this Blues lineup to help turn things around next week against the Chiefs.
