WATCH: Morne Steyn and Danny Cipriani battle it out in kicking challenge

Morne Steyn and Danny Cipriani took each other on in a tough kicking challenge.

Morne Steyn had 68 caps for South Africa scoring 742 points during those caps. Steyn has had a successful career with the Boks over an 11 year period. This includes winning the World Cup in France in 2007 and being one of a few players to win 2 Lions Series’. Morne Steyn kicked the penalty from 50 metres in 2009 to seal the seals in the final play in the second test and also kicked the winning penalty in 2021 in the third test.

Steyn has also had a relatively successful club career playing 144 times and scoring 1,639 points for the Bulls. He also played for Stade Francais in Paris from 2013 until 2020, playing 135 times and scoring over 700 points.

Danny Cipriani is a bit of a journeyman when it comes to his club careers. He’s played for 4 different clubs in the premiership, those being Wasps (on two separate occasions), Sale Sharks, Gloucester and now playing at Bath. He also had a stint playing in Super Rugby, in Australia, where he played for the Melbourne Rebels for the 2011 and 2012.

Cipriani’s international career unfortunately hadn’t taken off as many would have expected with a player of his calibre. He’s played 16 times for England scoring 64 points over a 10 year period. Cipriani got his last cap for England back in 2018.

These two took each other on in a kicking accuracy challenge on World Rugby’s YouTube channel, and it did not disappoint! Check it out below.
