WATCH: Racing92 With The Most Ridiculous Footballing Skills

The Heineken Champions Cup returned with a bang over the weekend. Kicking off with an epic tussle between European giants Munster and Toulouse in Dublin.

Toulouse edged the contest courtesy of a 4 – 2 penalty shootout victory as the two sides could not be separated across a full 100 minutes of Rugby.

With the standard being well and truly set in Dublin the remaining fixtures did not disappoint. Having received criticism over the past decade for somewhat losing its way it due to constant format changes, this weekend’s action was a call back to the 2000’s Heineken Cup.

Not to be outdone by the action in Dublin, Racing92 and Sale Sharks met for what on paper would be a mouth-watering battle in Paris.

What transpired was the most incredible display of skills that Rugby fans could ever wish to see as Racing emerged victorious 41 – 22 in a much closer battle than the score line would suggest.

Such is the quality of the Parisians that they produced two try of the season contenders in one match!

Starting with Teddy Thomas who defied the laws of gravity to not only keep both himself and the ball in field but to somehow recover a touchdown.

Not to be outdone, Finn Russell once again highlighted just how important he is to the Racing and Scottish hopes of success. Appearing to possess the footballing abilities of Ronaldo, the flyhalf chased down his own kick before putting foot to ball two more times.

Russell’s score would be the nail in the coffin for the Sharks who never gave up but were ultimately outclassed by their hosts.
