WATCH: Scarlets lock shown red for nasty shoulder on Gorgodze

Tevita Ratuva was shown a red card for a horror shoulder charge on Toulon lock Mamuka Gorgodze in the Challenge Cup on Friday night.

The Scarlets second row used his shoulder to clear Gorgodze at a breakdown but made contact with his head, resulting in the veteran forward needing medical attention.

Following assistance from the TMO, Ratuva received a straight red card on the stroke of half time and Toulon went on to win the game 17-16 at Stade Félix-Mayol.

    That is the softest red card I’ve seen yet, shall we just be done with it and cut out the contest at the tackle? Maybe just limit each team to 5 or 6 tackles to make it interesting. Using the word nasty is sensational at best RD
