WATCH: Sensational end to end solo try from England u20 fullback

England u20 fullback Henry Arundell scored this sensational end to end solo try for England u20s last night.

England u20s ran out 41-24 winners over Scotland in the campaign opener for both sides last night. England full back Henry Arundell was a stand out performer in the game, scoring this superb try. Arundell’s try was the away side's opening score of the game. The pacey full back received the ball on his own five metre line before beating three would-be Scottish tacklers on the outside. Arundell showed blistering pace to bag England’s opening score from deep inside his own half.

Henry Arundell is just 19 years of age and plays his club rugby with Premiership side, London Irish. Arundell was a starting winger for London Irish’s u18 side which beat Leicester Tigers in the 2020 Premiership final. Certainly, it is clear to see why Arundell can be and should be considered as a winger and a fullback with the pace he showed last night. Arundell was awarded player of the match with his superb performance for England.

Performace-wise, England u20s finished their campaign opener with 6 tries compared to Scotland’s six. England are the reigning champions of the u20 Six Nations in which every game of last year’s tournament was played in Cardiff Arms Park. Head coach Alan Dickens will be hoping for England to continue their form heading into next week’s away clash with Italy.
