WATCH: South African schoolboy lock scores EPIC solo try from restart

School Sport Live picked its three favourite tries from 2019 and all of them were produced by South African schools.

The first try, scored by Phoenix Twala, is a stunning piece of individual brilliance. The full back receives a kick inside his own half and beats seven defenders to score an incredible solo try.

Up next was winger Keagan Blanckenberg, who got on the end of a cross field kick to score a perfectly timed try in the corner.

However the most impressive of the three tries came from second row Siphelele Njumba, who caught the ball from a restart and showed unbelievable pace and balance to run around five defenders and score under the posts. If this guy carried an extra 10 kg he’d be nearly impossible to stop.
