Italy came close to scoring one of the tries of the tournament on Saturday against Scotland at the Stadio Olimpico in round three of the Six Nations.
The Italians turned the ball over on their own 22-metre line and full back Jayden Hayward broke away down the centre of the field.
Hayward then linked up with winger Matteo Minozzi on a switch who then provided a timely offload to Mattia Bellini inside the Scotland half.
Bellini was dragged down 15 metres from the line in what was a sensational counter attack from the home side, but unfortunately they weren’t able to convert the attack into points and went on to lose the game 0-17. Full match highlights are available below:
