WATCH: The Wallabies red card tackle which has angered fans and former players

Wallabies lock Lukhan Salakaia-Loto has received heavy criticism for his “dull” red card against Argentina on Saturday.

The Queensland Reds second row came off the bench for Rob Simmonds in the 51st minute and was sent off just nine minutes later for a high shot on Los Pumas flanker Santiago Grondona.

Salakaia-Loto’s shoulder made contact with Grondona’s head leaving referee Angus Gardner no option but to show a red card.

Former England and Gloucester winger James Simpson-Daniel described the challenge as “dull” on Twitter.

The game finished 16-16 at Bankwest Stadium meaning the Wallabies have finished bottom of the Tri-Nations and full match highlights are available below:
