Wild story involving former All Blacks 7s player emerges from France

Former New Zealand 7s representative George Tilsley has reportedly been embroiled in a physical and verbal altercation with Agen team manager Thomas Léger.

Based on reporting from Tight Five Rugby, the Papua New Guinea-born winger was reportedly pulled away by teammates in what was called 'excessive violence.'

According to the report, Tilsley, who was not playing in his team's Pro D2 match with Provence, had entered the changing room at half-time intoxicated.

This incident is not the first time that Tilsley has been embroiled in an incident of this nature, having been convicted of domestic violence by a French court whilst playing for Toulouse in 2023.

On the pitch Tilsley was also suspended for a blatant stamp on French scrumhalf Morgan Parra whilst playing for Perpignan against Stade Francais.
