    Hello Pretzel

I have played both this and the EA version and rugby challenge i have played allot. Unfortunately both games were rushed and both have aspects that are good, ea - backline plays, dropping into the pocket and the option of passing to a back or forward meaning you can crash ball effectively with the forwards, unfortunately the good ends there, it looks terrible and handles like a pig. Rugby challenge main redeeming factor is that you can change the settings, like offload frequency, success rate, tackle strength ability, pass success and also attacking and defensive urgency. So you can just alter the setting and make different teams more effective, i have a low offload and pass success rate, defensive and attacking urgency and a slightly higher break tackle ability. however this is only available fo local play and not online. worth a play but if u have someone to play with and you can develop different playing styles. IT is however glitchy and the terrible commentary is slightly humorous as it is so bad, and it does have "gees that cold have put him in ward 4" "I hope not Justin thats the maternity ward"

SBW is the best player in the game by a long margin
SH fans would enjoy the game much more because its got all their licences and stadiums. Their players have much more detail and actually look like themselves, some have authentic tattoos.
Im not a fan of it but its definintely got a SH fanbase

Actually, I should rephrase that as: "If you're a die hard SBW fan then is it a good game?" seeing as his offloads don't always make sense...

But if your a die hard SH fan then it's a good game? Or does the gameplay still blow?

I have it on Xbox and i really like this game, the commentary is very bad so i muted it, but it is the first game with so much official teams. Ok it is not perfect but they'll make improvements in the future game that will be released next november. It is far more beautiful than EA rugby games and i find the kicking really better with the "bullet time"effect. In France the biggest video games website gave it 15/20. RWC 2011 is great but you have the feeling to play the same game than Rugby 08 so they only gave it 11/20.

Its terrible, all the detail has gone into the SH teams.. no licenced NH countries so wales, england, scotland etc all have fake named players
None of the NH club team players look like themselves (although they are fully licenced)
The offloading in the game ruins the gameplay, you can perform offloads that dont even make sense sometimes.
The EA rugby games are still better

Lol, "that hit could have put him in edingburugh royal infirmary" I loved Bill McLaren, the man was a genius...

Has anyone got this for PS3 or Xbox? I considered it, but having read the reviews I was put off, for now... I read that the commentary is really disjointed, like big surprised commentary followed by low normal voices etc...

Also there are no commands for the backs. I must admit, (sad I know) but I used to love the EA rugby games that were out many years ago, with those you could control the backline for things like kicks, or miss moves etc.. Apparently in this game all you do is pass left or right, there is no set moves.. Anyone know anything about this? Updates to combat that monotonous style?
