Worcester players set to make their loan moves to Bath

There are many Worcester players currently sitting around in limbo without a club to play for. Since the suspension of Worcester Warriors from all competitions last week, there's been plenty of discussion about what happens next, and where do the players and staff go.

Well, the wheels have now been set in motion, with four Worcester players set to move west and sign on for struggling outfit, Bath. It is currently understood that Ollie Lawrence, Ted Hill, Fergus Lee-Walker, and Valery Morozov are all set to join Bath on loan from the currently dormant club.

This comes alongside the news that Premiership Rugby has cancelled Worcester's next two games against Gloucester and Harlequins. A statement by Premiership Rugby reads:

"Premiership Rugby can confirm that Worcester Warriors' Gallagher Premiership Rugby matches against Gloucester Rugby and Harlequins have been cancelled.

"This follows the RFU's decision to suspend Worcester Warriors from all competitions. The RFU confirmed last Monday that the owners of Worcester Warriors failed to meet the RFU's deadline to evidence insurance cover, availability of funds to meet the monthly payroll, and a credible plan to take the club forward. The RFU, therefore, suspended Worcester Warriors from all competitions, including Gallagher Premiership Rugby, Allianz Premier 15s, and Allianz Cup with immediate effect.

"A panel will be convened in due course to decide the result - and points allocation - of these two matches."

Director of Rugby at Worcester Warriors, Steve Diamond, has confirmed the news and given his support for the players in question on Twitter.
