Zee Ngwenya still has plenty of gas as he steps to score for San Diego

For most of us, the first time we heard of Takudzwa Ngwenya was when he was roasting Bryan Habana at the 2007 Rugby World Cup. He might be a bit off the radar these days but he is still very much alive and well and still doing his thing, now in Pro Rugby in the USA.

Granted the match in 2007 was not close in scoreline, but that didn't matter so much as Zee Ngwenya was able to do something no one thought possible - shake and then outrun Habana.

In doing so, he became a household name and locked up a contract with Biarritz Olympique in France, where he would play for nine seasons and score over 400 points.

Ngwenya now plays for the San Diego PRO Rugby club in the USA. He may be slightly older (30) and perhaps doesn't enjoy the blazing speed that initially made him famous, but you'd never guess that by watching this clip from last week.

The current level of competition in the new league could take a while to catch up to what Ngwenya was used to in France's Pro D2 and Top 14, but it's nice to see the 36-cap US Eagle slicing up defenders again, no matter who they are.

Now that Carlin Isles and Perry Baker are gaining most of the "fast" attention in the US, it's easy to forget about Ngwenya, but great that he is still scoring tries like this.

With names like Mils Muliaina and Zee Ngwenya, growth and even success are certainly possible for PRO Rugby in the States. Also in this game, FYI, 89-times Test capped Mirco Bergamasco.

You can watch a highlights wrap below this try, which includes some replays from other angles.

The footage didn't show it clearly but the touch judge called her over to tell her as it seemed to happen behind her back. You can see it around 39 mins on the Pro Rugby youtube channel game feed

foul play, ripped a guy off the ruck by the neck, then dropped a knee on him as they both went down. This is according to a Facebook poster who claimed to be there so take it with a grain of salt.
